Baked French Toast

A Christmas morning favorite of ours! Make the night before, wake up and pop it in the oven, and after presents? YUMMY, SUGARY, CARAMEL-Y BREAKFAST!

Heat until butter is melted and sugar dissolved:
2 Tbs corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar

Pour into 9x13 pan.

1 loaf french bread.
Cut into 1 1/2"-2" thick slices and put on top of sugar mixture.

Beat together:
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

Pour over bread and cover. Put in fridge overnight.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

Top with berries and whipped cream. No need for syrup!

*I have to be honest, I usually add a little extra sugar mixture to make it extra delish.
